Nairobi residents have been warned of a three-day water supply interruption affecting several estates, roads, and major hospitals across the city.

The shutdown is scheduled to begin at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026, and end at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, according to Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company.

The interruption follows emergency repair works on the NCT-Kigoro-Gigiri-Kabete pipeline by the Athi Water Works Development Agency.

Areas expected to be affected include Riverside, Lavington, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Kibera, Jamhuri, Woodley, Adams Arcade, Nairobi West, Madaraka, Lang’ata, Karen, Parklands and Westlands.

Major health facilities on the affected list include Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi Hospital and Forces Memorial Hospital. Other affected locations include parts of Upper Hill, Ngara, Brookside, Lower Kabete and surrounding estates.

Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store enough water for essential household needs before the shutdown begins.

Nairobi City Water Managing Director Martin Nang’ole urged customers to conserve the available water as repair works proceed.

Residents should check the official notice for the complete list of affected streets and estates and plan accordingly.
