President Donald Trump has once again turned his fire on leading Democrats, mocking several high-profile members of Congress in a fiery exchange that lit up political circles.
The Republican leader, who has never shied away from blunt criticism, targeted Rep. Jasmine Crockett, Rep. Maxine Waters, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), dismissing their leadership and influence in characteristically sharp terms.
Speaking to supporters, Trump brushed off Crockett, a freshman Democrat from Texas, saying, “That can’t be serious.”
He portrayed her as unqualified and emblematic of what he sees as the Democrats’ shallow bench.
Turning to longtime California lawmaker Maxine Waters, Trump did not hold back, declaring, “She’s an insult to intelligence.”
Waters, a frequent Trump critic, has long clashed with him over policy and rhetoric, making her one of his most consistent Democratic rivals.
Finally, Trump zeroed in on AOC, one of the most recognizable progressive voices in the country, mocking her communication style.
“She speaks like a mouse, a little mouse,” he quipped, in a remark that drew laughter from his audience.
The remarks underscore Trump’s strategy of framing Democrats as unprepared and out of touch, a narrative he has leaned on heavily.
By targeting these prominent figures, Trump is signaling that he intends to continue casting Democrats as divided and unserious, while energizing his base with his trademark mix of ridicule and political theater.
