As the country heads to the 2027 general election, many political leaders have been causing plenty of reactions due to their controversial remarks. Some of them have even been landing in trouble due to their own words with the latest one of them being Peter Salasya.
That is because today, the Court handed the Mumias East Member of Parliament a hard slap on the face after the latest rulling.
According to reports, the popular MP was directed by the court to conduct a 14 day peace campaign on social media.
It is said that the court declined to withdraw a hate speech case against the legislator. Instead, the apologetic MP was handed the punishment which he has already begun executing.
For a period of time now, Peter Salasya has been dominating headlines due to his outbursts but as things seem to be, he will have to be more careful going ahead so that he doesn’t find himself on the wrong side of the law again.
