Popular commentator Wahome Thuku has sparked an online debate after questioning the sudden silence of ardent UDA supporters who previously flooded his comment sections with the slogan “Kumi bila break”—a reference to President William Ruto’s pledge for two consecutive terms.
In a Facebook post, Thuku noted that these loyalists, who once dominated political conversations, have seemingly disappeared.
According to him, this shift could be attributed to growing concerns over a perceived betrayal by Raila Odinga and the ODM party, high cost of living and recent remarks about free education in the country.
“Na leo wale Wakalee hujaa kwa comments with ‘Kumi bila break’ wameenda wapi? They have also started sensing the Raila/ODM betrayal,” Thuku wrote, hinting at changing political dynamics.
He further stated that while there is no desire for Raila to return to the opposition, one thing remains certain—Raila will never endorse President Ruto for a second term.
Thuku’s remarks come amid speculation of strained relations between Ruto’s administration and ODM, raising questions about future political alliances ahead of 2027.

The post has since attracted over 2,600 reactions and 1,000 comments, signaling a heated discussion among Kenyans online.
