Firebrand Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has launched a scathing attack on the Senate Parliamentarian following a ruling that blocks provisions backed by President Donald Trump and conservative lawmakers.
Through her official X account, Greene criticized the non-elected official for what she called an “America LAST” decision that undermines Republican efforts to reform federal benefit programs and stop taxpayer funding of gender-affirming procedures for minors.
“The UN-ELECTED Senate Parliamentarian just ruled against throwing illegal aliens off of American taxpayer funded Medicare and Medicaid AND STOPPING MEDICAID AND CHIP FROM FUNDING SEX CHANGES ON CHILDREN!!!” Greene wrote on social media.
She claimed that Republicans are working to “undo the America LAST insanity from the Democrats” by stripping undocumented immigrants from benefit rolls and halting public funding of what she described as “genital mutilation of children.”
The ruling invoked the Byrd Rule, a Senate procedure that limits what can be included in budget reconciliation bills. As a result, Greene said, key Trump-aligned policy goals must be removed from what she dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
Greene’s comments reflect growing Republican frustration with procedural barriers as they seek to advance a hardline agenda on immigration and social issues.
She accused the Parliamentarian, whom she emphasized is not elected, of siding with “Deep State bureaucrats,” “radical far-left activist judges,” and “America LAST Democrats” who she claims are working to sabotage the will of the American people and President Trump’s vision.
Her remarks have drawn sharp criticism from Democrats and civil rights groups, who argue that the provisions in question are unconstitutional, discriminatory, and violate established rights.
However, Greene and her allies see the setback as yet another example of entrenched resistance to conservative reforms.
