{"id":506,"date":"2026-10-26T08:34:37","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T08:34:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/instanewsbuzz.com\/?p=506"},"modified":"2026-10-26T08:34:40","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T08:34:40","slug":"nairobi-water-announces-3-day-shutdown-full-list-of-affected-estates-and-hospitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/instanewsbuzz.com\/?p=506","title":{"rendered":"Nairobi Water Announces 3-Day Shutdown: Full List of Affected Estates and Hospitals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"350\" src=\"https:\/\/instanewsbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/duale-ebola-october.jpg-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/instanewsbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/duale-ebola-october.jpg-1.webp 700w, https:\/\/instanewsbuzz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/duale-ebola-october.jpg-1-300x150.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nairobi residents have been warned of a three-day water supply interruption affecting several estates, roads, and major hospitals across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shutdown is scheduled to begin at <strong>11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026, and end at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026<\/strong>, according to Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interruption follows emergency repair works on the NCT-Kigoro-Gigiri-Kabete pipeline by the Athi Water Works Development Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Areas expected to be affected include <strong>Riverside, Lavington, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Kibera, Jamhuri, Woodley, Adams Arcade, Nairobi West, Madaraka, Lang\u2019ata, Karen, Parklands and Westlands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Major health facilities on the affected list include <strong>Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi Hospital and Forces Memorial Hospital<\/strong>. Other affected locations include parts of Upper Hill, Ngara, Brookside, Lower Kabete and surrounding estates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store enough water for essential household needs before the shutdown begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nairobi City Water Managing Director Martin Nang\u2019ole urged customers to conserve the available water as repair works proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents should check the official notice for the complete list of affected streets and estates and plan accordingly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nairobi residents have been warned of a three-day water supply interruption affecting several estates, roads, and major hospitals across the city.
