“He Thinks Like His Father” Uncontrolled Peter Salasya Reacts On Raila’s Son Latest Controversial Post

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has weighed in on Raila Odinga Junior’s latest remarks on bursaries, responding with humor but also a serious appeal on the state of education in Kenya.

Raila Junior had questioned why the government channels bursary funds to parents through MPs instead of sending the money directly to schools under a student’s name.

In reaction, Salasya said Raila Junior “thinks like his father,” before urging that the issue be taken further.

He called on Raila Odinga to press President William Ruto’s administration to introduce free education starting September this year.

According to Salasya, the current bursary system is inadequate as many families struggle to raise even Ksh1,000 for school fees.

Salasya stressed that bursaries should primarily target orphans and children from vulnerable families, adding that the government must shoulder the responsibility of ensuring equal access to education.

He further proposed that if free education is implemented, the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) could be restructured or done away with, as education would already be fully supported by the state.

His remarks highlight the ongoing debate on Kenya’s bursary management system and the broader push for equitable access to education for all children regardless of background.
