For years now, Edwin Sifuna has been attacking President William Ruto and his government. That did not change even after the late Raila Odinga (Sifuna’s political father) joining hands with Ruto.
Time and again, Sifuna has been dropping bombshells on Ruto and his government and today, things were not different as the ODM party Secretary General broke his silence.
Through his official X account, Edwin Sifuna came out guns blazing as he aimed a dig at President William Ruto. That came as the Nairobi County Senator commented on the police brutality issue in Nandi County.
According to Sifuna, Ruto has been dishing out NYOTA funds to the youths while still, he is the one who has been frustrating their businesses.
“That incident in Nandi Hills where Police beat up young people playing pool for no reason is the clearest example of “development” in the context of Democracy.” Said Edwin Sifuna.
He went on to say, “Unapewa pesa ya NYOTA unafungua place ya pool polisi anavuruga tu hivo. A dictator can give you seed money for small business. So can a Democrat. Only one of them will respect your rights and freedoms”.
Many people have been condemning the government after that incident in Nandi Hills and as things seem to be, Ruto, the Interior Ministry and the government at large will have to act to clear the air on that mess.
