Ndegwa Njiru is one of the most known people in the country. He is known because he has been attacking President William Ruto and his government continuously and today, things were not so different.
Through his official X account, Njiru asserts that Kindiki will not secure the deputy presidency slot on President William Ruto’s 2027 ticket. He predicts Kindiki will last only three years in office.
Njiru accuses Kindiki of presiding over Gachagua’s chopping when he was the Interior CS, warning that his goose is cooked and now faces the same fate on the chopping board.
This comes against the backdrop of ODM leaders openly eyeing the deputy presidency in any broad-based government deal with UDA for 2027. Kindiki has rebuffed such ambitions, declaring the seat not vacant and receiving backing from Mt Kenya allies who insist it belongs to the region until 2032.

Njiru’s blunt warning reflects growing intra-Kenya Kwanza tensions and speculation over Ruto’s running mate choices. While provocative, it underscores the high-stakes political realignments shaping Kenya’s future leadership battles.
