Dr. Oburu Oginga, the Party Leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Siaya County Senator, convened a significant consultative session with a prominent group of Siaya County leaders.
Through his official X account, Dr. Oginga described the gathering as involving a “powerful cross-section” of the county’s leadership, emphasizing unity and discipline within the party.
Among those present were Deputy Governor William Oduol, alongside county legislators Christine Ombaka, Elisha Odhiambo, and David Ochieng’. Accompanying photos from the event showed the leaders posing together in formal attire against a backdrop of lush greenery, highlighting a sense of camaraderie and purpose.
Dr. Oginga noted that the meeting signals ODM’s commitment to presenting a “unified and disciplined front” as the party gears up for intensified grassroots mobilization. This comes at a time when ODM is navigating internal dynamics and preparing for future political engagements, including upcoming rallies and broader strategic discussions.
The session underscores efforts to consolidate support in Siaya, a traditional ODM stronghold, amid ongoing party realignments following recent leadership changes and national developments.

By bringing together key figures from the executive and legislative arms at the county level, Dr. Oginga appears focused on strengthening coordination and party cohesion ahead of critical grassroots outreach.
This consultative approach reflects ODM’s strategy to maintain momentum and discipline as it positions itself for the road to 2027.
