Marjorie Taylor Greene, the outspoken former Congresswoman, has been raising eyebrows with her latest remarks and today, she was back on it again.
Through her official X account, she criticised House Republicans’ priorities amid a viral controversy surrounding Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance.
Greene quoted a Polymarket post claiming House Republicans had announced an investigation into the Puerto Rican artist’s show, alleging its Spanish lyrics were “inappropriate” for television.
She responded sharply: “House Republicans should come up with a healthcare plan that reduces the outrageous costs of health insurance instead.”
The Polymarket claim echoed real GOP criticisms following Super Bowl LX, where several Republican lawmakers—including Reps. Randy Fine, Andy Ogles, and Mark Alford—called for FCC probes or congressional inquiries.
Greene’s rebuke highlights her recurring frustration with her party’s focus. She has previously accused Republicans of lacking a concrete plan to address soaring healthcare premiums and failing to reform the Affordable Care Act, even as families face $1,500–$2,000 monthly insurance costs.
Her post drew attention to perceived misplaced priorities: probing a halftime show versus tackling everyday economic pressures like healthcare affordability. The incident underscores ongoing intra-party tensions among Republicans on cultural versus policy issues.
