Ndegwa Njiru is one of the most known people in the country. He is well known because he has been dropping controversial remarks and today, he was back on it again.
Through his official X account, the popular lawyer claimed President William Ruto is maneuvering behind the scenes for political survival.
Njiru described an ODM National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting as the moment the party’s political obituary would be published.
The advocate accused Ruto of orchestrating the removal of ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna through Oburu Odinga, Raila Odinga’s brother and current party leader.
Njiru suggested this could lead to Sifuna’s expulsion from the party, alongside vocal figures like Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and other people-centred firebrands.
He linked this to the earlier impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, calling it a blunder of a lifetime that weakened PresidentWilliamRuto’s camp.
Njiru’s post framed these developments as evidence of Ruto’s desperation, insisting the president’s “one-term” fate is ordained in heaven and on earth.

The claims come against a backdrop of reported tensions within ODM, including calls from figures like former chairperson John Mbadi to expel Sifuna for defying party leadership, and speculation over Nairobi Senatorial ambitions involving other contenders like Jalang’o.
