After months of heated campaigns, Ugandans finally went to the ballot to vote for their leaders. As expected, President Yoweri Museveni was again on the ballot to defend his presidential seat and this time round, it was an easy victory for him as he beat off his main competitor (Bobi Wine) with a big margin.
That victory sent President Yoweri Museveni and his supporters in wild celebrations but today, they were given a scare after the latest post from Bobi Wine.
Through his official X account, Bobi Wine shared a disturbing video showing some people marking ballot papers.Â
According to Bobi Wine, the people were rigging the election in favour of President Museveni and thus, that makes the election a scam.Â
“Video showing Electoral Commission officials ticking all ballot papers in favor of Museveni at a polling station in western Uganda. This is what Museveni and his criminal system call an election! We campaigned. We voted. We tried to protect our vote but the criminals arrested or abducted many of our agents and officials.” Said Bobi Wine.Â
He went on to say, “The only recourse is for the PEOPLE OF UGANDA to reclaim their voice. That is why we called this a PROTEST VOTE. Please keep those videos coming in – and all other evidence of the theft that took place on the 15th”.
