Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has weighed in on the fight against corruption, stressing the need for honesty and boldness in addressing the vice that continues to undermine Kenya’s governance and development.
Through his official X account, Kaluma declared, “The fight against corruption requires open, firm and blunt talk. We can no longer afford to sugarcoat systemic corruption, not under BBG.”
He emphasized that corruption is not confined to one arm of government but cuts across the Legislature, the Executive, and the Judiciary.
According to him, this entrenched culture of graft must be confronted head-on without fear or favor.
Kaluma further lauded President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga for showing courage in speaking openly about the matter, noting that their joint stance gives hope to Kenyans yearning for accountability and transparency.
He urged leaders to match their words with action to ensure that anti-corruption measures are not reduced to mere rhetoric.

The MP’s remarks come at a time when Kenyans are increasingly demanding reforms to curb graft and restore public trust in institutions.
His call reflects a growing consensus that corruption, if left unchecked, threatens not only service delivery but also national unity and economic growth.
