Wahome Thuku has taken a swipe at Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, describing his latest assignment as both “the most valuable yet the most obnoxious.”
Thuku notes that while the entire Tharaka Nithi County government was attending the Devolution Conference in Homa Bay, Kindiki was in Tharaka holding meetings of lesser significance, effectively missing out on the high-profile national event.
According to Thuku, the situation was worsened by the fact that the conference was opened by President William Ruto and closed by opposition leader Raila Odinga, making Kindiki appear irrelevant in the national political scene.
He implies that Kindiki’s absence from such a significant platform signals his diminished political relevance.
Thuku further claims with “100% assurance” that Kindiki will not be on the presidential ballot in 2027.

He advises the DP to focus on delivering tangible developments in his home county of Tharaka Nithi so he can at least be remembered for “the little he ever did.”
The post paints a picture of a leader sidelined from the political limelight and urged to consolidate his legacy at the grassroots rather than chasing national ambitions.
