Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton has reignited controversy over the origins of the infamous Steele Dossier, alleging a coordinated effort between the Clinton campaign, the FBI, and top Obama administration officials to sabotage President Donald Trump.
In a strongly worded statement, Fitton said, “The Steele Dossier was created by the Clinton campaign and funded with help from the FBI to smear Trump and try to jail him. Tulsi Gabbard now reveals that the Obama gang met in the White House Oval Office to plan the Russia Hoax.”
The Steele Dossier, compiled by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, contained explosive but largely unverified allegations linking Donald Trump to Russian operatives during the 2016 election.
It was later revealed that the research had been funded, in part, by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Fitton’s remarks reference comments by former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who suggested that senior Obama administration officials—including President Obama himself—were directly involved in discussions at the White House regarding the Trump-Russia narrative.
These new allegations have reignited Republican accusations of political weaponization of intelligence agencies, while critics argue such claims are designed to distract from Trump’s legal challenges.
Fitton has long been a vocal critic of what he calls “deep state corruption” and continues to push for transparency and accountability regarding the origins of the Russia investigation.
