Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton has made a fiery accusation against former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey, claiming they engaged in a “brazen act of sedition.”
Through his official X account, Fitton alleged that the two ex-intelligence officials relied on what he called Hillary Clinton’s “dirty Steele Dossier” to promote a false intelligence narrative suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin helped Donald Trump get elected.
Fitton’s statement is part of a broader narrative from some conservative voices who argue that elements within the intelligence community have repeatedly attempted to undermine Trump using politically motivated tactics.
The Steele Dossier, has long been criticized by Trump allies as unverified and partisan.
According to Fitton, the use of this discredited material to justify intelligence assessments is not only irresponsible but borders on treasonous behavior.
Neither Brennan nor Comey has responded directly to Fitton’s allegations, and no official evidence has emerged publicly to support claims that the Steele Dossier was used in any election assessments.
Nonetheless, Fitton’s comments are likely to further fuel partisan tensions in the aftermath of the hotly contested election, as debates over election integrity and foreign interference continue to dominate political discourse.
