Firebrand Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has once again stirred debate with her latest comments defending President Donald Trump’s call for a ceasefire in global conflicts.
Through her official X account, Greene took aim at prominent conservative commentator Mark Levin and other so-called “NeoCons,” accusing them of being enraged by Trump’s peace-oriented rhetoric.
“NeoCons like Mark Levin HATE that President Trump used the word ‘ceasefire,’” Greene stated. “That’s the real attack. They’re furious he’s a peacemaker. As a Christian, I know the one true God does not call anyone to celebrate war or the death of children.”
Greene’s remarks come amid growing tension within the Republican Party over America’s foreign policy direction, particularly in relation to the Middle East and ongoing military aid to allies.
Her statement underscores a clear ideological divide between traditional conservative hawks and a newer, more isolationist faction of the GOP that sees Trump’s stance as a moral and political imperative.
Greene has consistently aligned herself with Trump’s “America First” approach, often challenging the military-industrial complex and calling for an end to what she views as unnecessary foreign entanglements. Her invocation of Christian values to support her anti-war message adds a spiritual layer to her political stance.
Greene’s supporters view her as a bold voice for diplomacy over destruction, reflecting Trump’s broader rebranding as a peacemaker.
