Conservative commentator and radio host Mark R. Levin has launched a scathing attack on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), calling her a “shameless nitwit” over her recent comments regarding U.S. involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts.
Greene had questioned the justification for American action against Iran, appearing to downplay the impact of the Iranian regime on American lives.
Through his official X account, Levin wrote, “Marjorie Taylor Greene, shameless nitwit. How incredibly dumb is this Marjorie Taylor Greene? She doesn’t know anyone in America who has been a victim of crime or killed by Iran? You mean the thousands of Americans, especially military personnel, killed and maimed by the Iranian terrorist regime?”

Levin’s remarks came in response to Greene’s argument that the United States should avoid entanglements in foreign wars, specifically criticizing the bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites and questioning the relevance of Iran to everyday Americans.
However, Levin sharply reminded the public of Iran’s long history of sponsoring terrorism and attacks on U.S. forces, especially in the Middle East. He pointed to the deaths and injuries of American service members as direct evidence of Iran’s hostility.
The clash underscores a growing divide within the Republican Party between traditional hawks like Levin and populist non-interventionists like Greene. As tensions rise globally, particularly with Iran and its proxies, the internal GOP debate on America’s role in international conflicts continues to intensify.
