Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Hon. Jeremiah Kioni hailed the Party of National Unity (PNU)’s endorsement of Dr. Fred Matiang’i as a pivotal moment for the nation.
Through his official X account, Kioni declared that “there comes a moment in the life of every nation when patriotism must rise above personality” and when the country must take precedence over individual ambitions.
He described the current juncture as that defining moment, emphasizing that PNU’s endorsement of Dr. Matiang’i marks the start of a fresh chapter grounded in discipline, accountability, and the critical mission of rescuing Kenya.
Kioni stressed that the path forward will require courage, unity, and truth. He urged a shift toward prioritizing the nation over divisive noise, integrity over intrigue, and genuine hope over empty slogans. The post, accompanied by photos of Dr. Matiang’i and supporters—many wearing Jubilee and related party colors—featured the hashtag #MbelePamoja, signaling forward momentum together.
This move aligns with a formal cooperation agreement between Jubilee and PNU, led by Peter Munya, consolidating opposition forces. It positions Dr. Matiang’i, a former Interior and Education Cabinet Secretary known for his firm leadership style, as a central figure in challenging the incumbent administration.
The endorsement underscores growing efforts to unite fragmented opposition voices around a candidate seen as representing results-driven governance.
